The Campbellsville City Council met in regular session Monday, July 2nd. Council members voted in favor of advertising for applicants to fill the newly created position of Parks Operations Manager for the City of Campbellsville. Among other things, this person would plan, manage, organize and implement staffing and programming for Campbellsville city parks, organize and supervise daily work activities for park staff, develop and maintain a master schedule of yearly events for parks facilities, administer sponsorship agreements and administer city policies related to all activities. The Campbellsville City Council also voted in favor of purchasing two new medic units for Campbellsville Taylor County Emergency Medical Services. Those medic units will be purchased from Mid-America Ambulance & Coach Sales at a total cost of nearly 218,000 dollars and will be paid for through a 4 year, 4.51 percent financing arrangement. Payments work out to about 5,038 dollars a month.
