Married to Ronnie Allen, Mother of 3 Sons Bryan Allen and wife Linda, Atlanta Ga, Jon Barry Allen and wife Marcia Campbellsville, and Brent Allen and wife Kym

Augusta Ga., five grandchildren, Caleigh, Ciara, Lance, A.J. and Brynna.

 

Work Experience:

Executive Director of the Healing Place, 2 years.

Mayor of Campbellsville, eight years.

City Clerk of Campbellsville, four years.

Office Assistant in the Office of the President of Campbellsville University 4 years. Purchasing Agent at Ingersoll-Rand Company for sixteen years.

In the past I have also worked at: FOL for 3 years, Electrolux as the office manager 1 year, Cox’s Cabinet for 2 years and Campbellsville City School System.

I am very proud to be the first woman Mayor of Campbellsville

In the past I have been active in the Campbellsville Business and Professional

Women Club serving as the President several times. I was chosen as BPW Woman of the Year in 1985, 1992, and 2002.

I am a 2002 graduate of the Campbellsville-Taylor County Leadership Program.

I am currently the Secretary of Greater Campbellsville United

The Chair of the Green River Ministry Homeless Shelter.

I am a Proud Member of the Kentucky Colonels

A member of the Taylor County Historical Society.

A member of Taylor County Homemakers.

A Member of the Salvation Army Board

When I was the Mayor I was appointed by the Governor to serve on the KBEMS State Board. I am proud to have served on many other originations in the

community.

I am a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and actively involved in the United Methodist Women. I currently serve as the President of our local unit of the U MW of St. Mark.

I also serve on the Nomination Committee of the District UMW.

I also serve as the secretary and treasurer of the Adult IV Sunday Class.

 

Education: Graduate of Taylor County High School, several on-line college courses: Negotiating, Just In Time Inventory, Purchasing, Quality Control Classes, Drafting Classes and several other college classes.

 

PLEDGE

When elected …….

I will continue to have an open door policy for all citizens.

I will continue to serve all citizens with proven leadership.

I will work with our young people to insure they have safe supervised places such as a pool, a place to play basketball and a meeting place for games and recreation.

I will continue to represent the Mayor’s office in a positive and progressive manner in all endeavors.

I will continue to work tirelessly to bring better job, develop a prosperous community and improve the quality of life in Campbellsville.

I will continue to adherer to nonpartisan business practices.

 

GOALS

Continue to work with the EDA on the development of the Heartland Commerce & Technology Park to attract new industries with higher paying jobs.

Continue improvement to infrastructure for water & sewer, streets, sidewalks and parks.

Maintain high standards for emergency services.

Continue to promote the Heartland Parkway with state and federal officials.

Expand and encourage our recycling program.

Secure additional funding for more community projects.

Continue revitalization of downtown.

Continue to seek opportunities to improve the quality of life for our youth and senior citizens.
