I completed my internship with the Campbellsville Police Department and the Taylor County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office during my time at Campbellsville University.
I married my wife Amanda Humphress, daughter of Alvin and Marsha Humphress, on July 28, 2007 and we have one son Peyton who is 4 years old. l attend Christie Chapel United Methodist Church which is located in the Elkhorn/Yuma community of Taylor County. I’m a proud supporter of the Taylor County Relay for Life in their efforts to raise money for cancer awareness and research. I’m a member of the Taylor County Cattleman’s Association.
I started my employment with Campbellsville University as a security officer in 2004 and continued until 2006. I went to work for the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office in 2006 as a transportation officer where I worked daily with our District and Circuit Court Judges and the Circuit Court Clerk. l continued my employment with the Sheriff’s Office until November 2008 and started working at the Taylor County Detention Center. I started as a sergeant in rank with 6 deputies under my supervision. I was promoted to Administrative Captain in 2010 where I have 45 employees under my supervision and currently still hold that position. Since my employment with the Sherriff’s Office I have worked daily with the staff of the Circuit Clerks Office. I have learned how the Circuit Clerks office functions on a daily basis whether it is through the court system or the daily operations of the office.
If elected I will be a hands on clerk that will assist you with any matter that brings you to the Circuit Clerk’s office. You will NOT need an appointment to see me; my door will always be open to the citizens of Taylor County. No matter what business brings you in to the Circuit Clerks office you will always be assisted by a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I will make sure that myself and the staff stay up to date on training and I will keep the public informed on any new changes that the state implements.
If elected I will assure you that when you call the Circuit Clerks office you will talk to a person that can assist you with whatever need you have and won’t have to listen to an automated system and push several different buttons to speak to someone. I will keep all current staff at the Circuit Clerks office. I’ve always had a willingness to help people and I look forward to continuing that if elected as your next Circuit Court Clerk. I would greatly appreciate your vote and support on November 6th.
